It starts with disgust. You look into his eyes after that moment, and his stock has fallen. UGH. You don’t know what you’re doing. Inside there’s these voices warning you to run, to fuck off, to not delay, but you don’t. You just stand there staring. Until you start to question yourself. You pause. UM. And he sees your hesitation. It was an ill-timed comment, he’s a nice guy really. And he’s pulling off that look. The one that gets to you. And there’s no hesitation anymore. Just UH.
